About

Dance. Fly. Run on walls.

Welcome to Off The Wall Aerial Dance — a company founded in 2019 by Becky, Charlotte and Grace: three dancers and aerialists rooted in the South West, united by a passion for flight, freedom and fearless creativity.

Specialising in vertical dance (also known as wall running), their work blends harness-based movement with contemporary and floor-based dance, unlocking new possibilities in how we move and connect with space.

Through bold performances and dynamic workshops, Off The Wall invites audiences and participants alike to experience empowerment, play, and the pure exhilaration of defying gravity.

Mission

We’re reimagining what vertical and aerial dance can be.

Fusing contemporary dance with shifting perspectives and bold innovation, we’re redefining how vertical dance is experienced and understood. Our work pushes boundaries—expanding access, growing audiences, and championing diversity of engagement across the South West and beyond.

At our core, we’re here to ignite imagination, awaken curiosity, and stir the child-like sense of wonder that lives in all of us.

Shows

Our performances flip dance on its head — literally.

Defying both gravity and convention, we reimagine vertical spaces and transform architecture into exhilarating stages. Our work takes dance to new heights — bold, breathtaking, and unforgettable.

Whether you’re looking to wow an audience at a public event, energise a community celebration, or create a striking moment for a corporate occasion, we offer bespoke performance packages tailored to your vision.

DREAMWEAVER'S JOURNEY

Opening Ceremony | Pyramid Stage | Glastonbury Festival

An unforgettable aerial odyssey, Dreamweaver’s Journey was the heartbeat of Glastonbury’s 2025 opening ceremony — a spectacular fusion of flight, sound, and collective spirit.

The show featured breathtaking wall running (which was led by Off The Wall Aerial Dance) 35 metres high on a carousel suspended from a crane — a gravity-defying centrepiece in a powerful story of unity and transformation.

This once-in-a-lifetime spectacle brought together a 200-strong choir, thundering taiko and marching drums, and a whirlwind of world-class circus acts, creating an epic ritual of togetherness — tribal, timeless, and truly Glastonbury.

Concept, Curation & Direction: Jade Dunbar
Production: Emma Bate & Courtney Jones
Off The Wall Performers: Charlotte Luke, Georgie Barnett, Grace Sellwood & Kim Francey

— Workshop Participant

Taking Flight

These workshops are all about building confidence, connection, and creativity — with feet both on and off the ground.

Using aerial equipment in fun and accessible ways, we focus on teamwork, trust, and joyful challenge. Delivered in a supportive and welcoming space, Taking Flight is designed to help participants push boundaries safely, uncover inner strength, and experience the magic of movement and suspension.

Currently in pilot phase, we’re working with specific community groups to shape a wider programme of Taking Flight workshops — and we can’t wait to expand.

“We were gently introduced to our silken slings and warmed up in such a way that trepidation was replaced with temptation to actively try everything that was suggested — however unthinkable moments earlier.”
